New Chief of Police

Chief Briggs (Ret.) hands over reigns to Chief Sirovatka

The start of 2015 begins with a new Chief of Police. Chief Thomas Sirovatka has been appointed with the retirement of Chief Doug Briggs. Chief Briggs retired after a successful 13 years with the Village of Somerset. Chief Sirovatka rose through the ranks of part-time, non-sworn parking enforcement officer to Sergeant. He and Retired Chief Briggs worked closely during their tenures which resulted in a smooth changing of the guard.
