QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
General - Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien who is eligible for and has applied for citizenship. Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application; must have a valid Wisconsin Driver's License or eligible at time of employment.
Education - Graduation from high school or GED is required. Have completed a minimum of 60 college credits, an Associates Degree, or higher. Degrees in Police Administration and/or Criminal Justice are highly desirable.
Personal Qualifications
- Must have good character and reputation; superior self-command, alertness,
and judgment; ability to establish and maintain good working and public
relations. Conviction of a serious offense, repeated or numerous convictions
for minor offenses, conviction of an offense involving moral turpitude,
or discharge from the military service under other than
honorable conditions
may be disqualifying.
